Does your product require pre-installation of software?

medistick does not require any pre-installation of software. All running system requirements are pre-loaded on the stick, enabling Medistick to run on any system.

How is the information on the medistick protected from viewing by anyone who obtains physical access?

Each field can be independently locked and encrypted, so you decide how much is visible for emergency use. It is all in your control.

What happens to the data on the medistick if you wear it when in close contact with an electromagnet such as an electrical transformer or an electric motor?

An electromagnetic field (or environment) does not harm the memory chip and the data is safe.

Is the data destroyed when you take it through the airport security system?

No, the data will not be destroyed with the currently known and used airport security systems.

What happens when my medical conditions change?

Simply plug in your USB stick, up-date your information by entering your password, change data and log out. See also our demo

On what systems do the USB sticks and the software work?

Both models, the medistick and the medicard run on Windows ME/2000 SP4/XP and Vista, Mac OS 10.0 and higher, Linux kernel 2.4.2 and higher. Currently, the data can only be entered on Windows systems.

If I am unconscious, how will emergency doctors take advantage of the stick?

The medistick software is designed as “plug & play” and your core information will be shown immediately. Whilst we can’t absolutely guarantee that doctors will recognize the stick, we have done everything to design the look of it in a way that draws attention to it as a medical aid.

Will the host computer retain my information?

No, there will be no record of your information once you unplug the stick.

What happens if the medical aid team only has a MacIntosh computer?

No problem, the emergency data can be read on a Mac system.
